MOMCORE gives a voice to a generation navigating the space between pop culture and care work. Singing in their native German, they make audible what often remains invisible. From „Ich war mal cool, jetzt bin ich müde“ ("I used to be cool, now I’m tired") to „Forever Young ist jetzt vorbei“ ("Forever Young is over now"), they transform exhaustion into magic and dark circles into glitter.

Their signature Tenderwave sound is a high quality blend of sharp wit and analog synths. This is the voice the German pop horizon was missing. It is a creative movement led by Johanna Amelie and Stefany (Wolf & Moon) for those who refuse to stay quiet while juggling the chaos of art and daily life.

MOMCORE is more than just a duo. It is the gentle rebellion of two Berlin musicians and a growing movement connecting creative parents. Together with producer Anneli Bentler (Queen Alaska) and Sebastian Meyerholz (Kyong Sono, Symbiz), their music is created by a team of people who all juggle the balance between art and care.

The Vision

„We met on the internet,“ says Johanna. MOMCORE was born when a pregnant Stefany decided to make music in an environment where she could feel comfortable as a mother. When studio hours collide with daycare schedules and motherhood remains invisible in the music scene, new structures are needed.

When Johanna and Stefany met for the first time, they realized they both had two year olds. They both knew the balancing act between the studio, sleep deprivation, and the longing for expression. What started as a coincidence became a vision: not becoming quieter because you are now a mother, but becoming louder. Now more than ever.
